Holding the key to the future
Here at David Dexters we believe we hold the key to the future – and our latest acquisition goes a long way to confirming that.
We have always prided ourselves on being at the forefront of our industry and keeping abreast with all the changes and new innovations that come along, in a bid to ensure the best possible service for our clients.
Well, we are now bringing servicing into a brand new era by adopting the very latest technology from BMW.
BMW is consistently at the top of the motor industry and the company has now developed and produced a BMW key reader which tells the garage servicing the vehicle exactly what work needs doing to it – and we have got one.
This is great news for David Dexters as an independent garage, as this key reader is normally only available to dealers. The key reader can be used on all modern BMWs and MINIs with an electric key – up to about 11 years old.
The high-tech key reader is a marvellous device and could come straight out of the pages of science fiction. It means when we are servicing a modern BMW the key reader will tells us accurately what work needs to be done.
Then, when the work is completed, we can read the key again and it will update the BMW service history online. How efficient is that?
BMW say the move to electronic service history is very much the future and, as details of the service are logged online directly by using the data off the key, it eradicates the risk of errors.
David Dexters is delighted to be part of this rare key club and by embracing this new technology we will be able to continue bringing the highest quality of work to our customers.
